SASSA Takes Solutions to Fernie Local Community

Tuesday, August 27, 2024

The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently checking out the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers towards the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering expert services such as new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a press release, the agency reported it's alarmed concerning the significant quantity of people relying on social grants for survival.
“The aim of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a website high number of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This can be a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no entirely functional office devoted to service the area on a daily basis. The services stage developed for intervention encounters a large influx of possible beneficiaries, which makes it complicated with the Workplace to attend to all people who check out a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise far more assets to allow the servicing of all clients and increase usage of Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
